(About)
The products that make people pause and think, "Why didn't someone make this sooner?" That's what we chase. That's what we build.
We don't start with trends or market research. We start with problems. Small frustrations. Gaps hiding in plain sight. The kind of thing you complain about once and forget — until someone finally solves it.
Our job is to notice those moments, then do something about them. Design it. Engineer it. Build it. Ship it.
(What We Do)
We work across the full spectrum — from consumer hardware that ends up on retail shelves, to apps that live in your pocket, to the branding and packaging that ties it all together.
Most studios do one of these things. We do all of them because products don't exist in isolation. A great idea deserves great execution, end to end.
(Our Approach)
The best solutions aren't complicated. They're obvious — once someone shows them to you. We think in first principles. We strip away assumptions. We ask "why" until we hit something real.
If the solution can't be explained in a sentence, it's probably not the right solution. We'd rather spend months finding the simple answer than weeks shipping a complicated one.
(The Team)
200LAB is led by Tim Yanchun — a product developer who came up building businesses before building products. Self-taught. First principles by necessity.
For larger projects, we bring in trusted specialists — engineers, industrial designers, fabricators, developers. But you always work directly with the person making the decisions.
No account managers. No handoffs. No games.
We believe the best work comes from people who give a damn. Who lose sleep over details. Who can't stop until
it's right.
That's us.
