When you sign in using Sign in with Apple, we collect:

• Apple ID: A unique identifier used for authentication and account management.
• Name: Your first name, optionally provided by Apple during initial sign-in.
• Email Address: Your email address, which may be a private relay address if you elect to use Apple's Private Relay service.

Purpose of Processing: To create and maintain your user account, authenticate your identity, and facilitate data synchronization via your iCloud account.

2.2. Health and Fitness Data (Sensitive Personal Information)

With your explicit consent, the App integrates with Apple Health to access the following data on your device:

• Step Count: To track your activity during walking sessions.
• Heart Rate: To monitor your physical exertion during walks.
• Workout Data: We write your recorded walking sessions back to Apple Health as a Workout.

2.3. Application Usage Data

Data generated through your use of the App, which is stored locally on your device and synced to your private iCloud account via CloudKit:

• Walking Sessions: Duration, intervals completed, and session type (mindful/interval).
• Mindfulness Logs: Gratitude reflections and mood entries.
• Daily Mood Logs: Emotional check-ins.
• Progress Data: Streaks, achievements, and usage statistics.
• Preferences: App settings and walk configurations.

Purpose of Processing: To track your progress, calculate achievements, display personalized insights, and ensure a consistent user experience across your devices.

2.4. Subscription and Purchase Data

We process data related to your subscription and purchases managed by Apple through StoreKit:

• Subscription Status: To determine if you have an active premium subscription.
• Purchase History: Managed directly by Apple.

3. How We Utilize Your Information

The information collected is used for the following legitimate business and contractual purposes:

• Core Functionality: To enable and operate the fundamental features of the App, including walking sessions, mood tracking, and mindfulness logging.
• User Experience: To display your activity history, progress, and achievements.
• Data Synchronization: To maintain data consistency across your Apple devices via your private iCloud account.
• Service Improvement: To analyze usage patterns for feature enhancement and bug fixes (using anonymized, aggregated data where possible).

4. Data Storage, Security, and Transfers

4.1. Data Storage Location

Your data is stored in the following locations:

• On Your Device: Locally stored using SwiftData.
• In Your iCloud: Synchronized to your private iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit.
• Apple Health: Workout data is written to Apple Health with your consent.

4.2. Security Measures

We rely on Apple's secure infrastructure and implement measures to protect your data:

• Encryption: iCloud data is subject to Apple's End-to-End Encryption while in transit and at rest.
• Serverless Architecture: We do not operate proprietary servers for storing personal data, relying instead on the user's private iCloud environment.

5.1. Non-Disclosure

We are committed to the principle that we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties. We do not share your data with advertisers or marketing companies, and we do not use your data for tracking or targeted advertising purposes.

5.2. Third-Party Services

We utilize the following Apple services, which act as data processors for certain functions:

• Apple Services: Sign in with Apple, CloudKit, HealthKit, StoreKit.
• Purpose: User authentication, cloud synchronization, health data access, and subscription management.
• Their Policies: The privacy and security of these services are governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.

6. Your Data Rights and Choices

6.1. General Data Subject Rights

You have the right to exercise control over your personal data:

• Right to Access: You may view all your data directly within the App (Progress tab, Settings).
• Right to Portability: You may request a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format by contacting us.
• Right to Erasure (Deletion): You may delete your account and all associated data permanently from Settings → Delete Account. Note: This action is irreversible.
• Right to Control Processing: You can manage permissions for HealthKit in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices and disable iCloud sync in iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud.

6.2. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you possess the rights set forth in the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the Right to Know (what information is collected, sold, or disclosed), the Right to Delete, and the Right to Non-Discrimination for exercising these rights. If you are within the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal data as long as your account remains active. Upon account deletion, all associated data is immediately removed from your device and your iCloud account, with the exception of purchase history, which is retained by Apple in accordance with its policies.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may modify this Privacy Policy periodically. When material changes are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and notify you either through a notice within the App or via the email address associated with your account. Your continued use of the App following the notification of changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
